BSAA Members - Code of Behavioural Ethics

This is the Code of Behavioural Ethics for the Babydoll Sheep Association of Australia (Inc) (BSAA) and outlines the standards of conduct and interpersonal behaviour which is expected of BSAA members. It ensures that everything BSAA does is kept fair, friendly, respectful and caring.

Conduct

All BSAA members will treat other members, potential buyers, event organisers and the public with honesty, courtesy and professionalism when discussing, handling, selling, showing, or promoting Babydoll sheep, whether in person or online.

Representation

All members will represent BSAA in a positive and respectful manner at all times, including social media and public discussions.

Communication

All members will avoid gossip, negative comments or becoming involved in public disputes which could spoil the friendly and supportive culture of BSAA.

Community Engagement

Members are encouraged to support and guide new members of BSAA to ensure they are welcomed and engaged.

Social Media Use

All members are strongly encouraged to use the BSAA Facebook pages to bring attention to the Babydoll breed. In doing so, they are to avoid negative comments, bullying, or sharing false information. The BSAA Facebook pages’ rules are to be followed at all times.

Conflict Resolution

If conflicts with other members arises, these are to be resolved privately and respectfully. If the conflict is not resolved, it can be brought to the attention of the President of BSAA and the BSAA Complaint’s Process will be followed.

Zero Tolerance

BSAA has zero-tolerance for harassment, bullying or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, background or experience level.

Complaint Process

If a member of BSAA wishes to make a complaint about another member’s behaviour, the following process should be used:

  • Self-Resolution

    Members of BSAA are encouraged to resolve minor disputes privately, respectfully, and directly.

  • Filing a Concern

    If self-resolution is not possible, a written concern should be submitted to the President of BSAA.

  • Review and Confidentiality

    BSAA Committee will review the written submission.

  • Right to Respond

    The member(s) named in the concern will be informed and given an opportunity to respond.

  • Resolution and Action

    The Committee of BSAA may take action based on findings, which may range from a verbal reminder to suspension or removal from membership.

  • Appeal Process

    Members of BSAA have the right to request an appeal.
